On a silent summer evening I can't help it No I can't help it I know it's out of fashion To watch the sun go down It’s a habit of mine To watch the sun go down…. Pass the time away I pass the time away I spend my time at work But I’ll go back some day To watch the sun go down It’s a habit of mine To watch the sun go down…. Just in time… Waves make the only sound Waves make the only sound The sky’s alive with light There’s not a soul around On a silent summer evening… Far away in time… To watch the sun go down It’s a habit of mine… To watch the sun go down… On a silent summer evening… Far away in time…

We didn’t look back Or too far ahead No one’s being born No one is dead Drifting and dreaming asleep in the van Girls will be girls whenever they can With the boys in the band It was a summer of song And the radio waves played on and on… Lyrical days Wings on our feet We thought we’d arrived Where we wanted to be Finding good fortune under scattering skies Everything going our way Luck on the rise Too young to know why It was a summer of song And the radio waves played on and on… Each day grew shorter Nothing better than this It was grand so rich It was a summer of song And the radio waves played on and on…

It's hard not to be bamboozled Dazzled all the time It's hard to fight confusion when you're shaking like a leaf I'm not going to tell you everything's O.K. When obviously it isn't When people do the things they do When anything can happen I want language on my lips Fire in my hips I want vision in my eyes I want to laugh until I cry Do you ever wonder why there's pleasure in pain? Why the small things matter? Sometimes the big things don’t. Do you ever wonder if you’ll see them again? Why that sperm met that egg? By machinery or magic Years of patient waiting The raising of cathedrals or the splitting of the atom I'm not going to tell you it's hopeless ‘Cause obviously it isn't When anything can happen like the walls of Jericho and Berlin tumbling down... I want music in my ears Hope instead of fears I can't be what I'm not Time is all I've got Do you ever wonder how long gratitude lasts? Why the small things matter? Sometimes the big things don’t. Do you ever wonder when there’s so much stuff Why the farmer still hasn’t enough. Con’t… Oh my little baby Rock you in my arms Soon you'll be a grown-up To the world you will belong Oh my little darling Wonder in your eyes Watching for that new star In the sky It was the right kiss But on the wrong face. It was the right time But in the wrong place. Do you ever wonder why there's pleasure in pain? Do you ever wonder if you’ll see them again? Do you ever wonder when there’s so much stuff Do you ever wonder how long gratitude lasts? Do you ever wonder why it’s cool to be rude? Do you ever wonder why a song changes mood? Do you ever wonder when the road disappears Do you ever wonder if an ending is near?

Being a woman Is not being a man Not being lost In No Man’s Land Stop saying you’re sorry for not being a man For not destroying the world with the wave of your hand So act like a woman if you can You’ll find the way into No Man’s Land Mothers of courage fathers afraid Warring with weakness inner hate, outer rage Stop saying you’re sorry for not being a man For not destroying the world with the wave of your hand You kept us all quiet with the strength of your lungs Bought me a name that ended in son So act like a woman if you can You’ll find the way into No Man’s Land Are you man enough to act like a woman? Are you man enough for me? The fighting is over but there are still scars As you’re falling to pieces you fall in my arms So act like a woman if you can You’ll find the way into No Man’s Land Are you man enough to act like a woman? Are you man enough?

I don’t want to feel no evil from you Don’t monkey with my love… I’d be a fool to stay in love I’m walking out the door I’m not the kind to waste the time On here today gone tomorrow I don’t want to feel no evil from you Don’t monkey with my love… Was it too much to ask of you Love me all the way? The birds and bees must all agree Your love has strayed oh what sorrow I don’t want to feel no evil from you Don’t monkey with my love… See no evil hear no evil Speak no evil to me… Some people think I want too much But who are they to say? They’ll never know a love so sweet That picks you up, spins you ‘round Knocks you off your feet I don’t want to feel no evil from you Don’t monkey with my love…

Move like a snail slither like a snake Sweet nothings come easy Never give always take It goes without saying And what you say goes You move with the wind Where ever it blows I was talking through my hat When I said that… Crack the whip and hope nobody sees Bend over backwards Do what you please It goes without saying And what you say goes Hail to the chief The emperor without his clothes I was talking through my hat When I said that…

Big Day 02:59
Tell me something I don’t already know Take me somewhere I don’t want to go I think today is going to be a big day Walk me down to the water’s edge Get me off of this narrow ledge I think today is going to be a big day 365 12 52 The days the months the weeks with you 365 12 52 I’m so lonesome - when I’m with you Three little words I’ve never heard you say Let’s do the same thing a different way I want today to be a big day A trip to paradise is all we need A simple life up in the trees Every day would be a big day 365 12 52 The days the months the weeks with you 365 12 52 I’m so lonesome - when I’m with you Remind me why I’m still in love, I’m still in love with you It’s going to take a while to see this through I’m puzzled by the pieces I can’t fit with you Remind me why I’m still in love, I’m still in love with you Need a big day, big heart, big sun, Love’s on the run, Love’s on the run Need a big day, big heart, big sun, Love’s on the run 365 12 52 The days the months the weeks with you 365 12 52 I’m so lonesome - when I’m with you Love’s on the run – Big Day, Big heart , Big Sun - Love’s on the run…

As the midnight sun melts the cold says of winter Dark endless lonely nights soon will start to fade Cracks in the ice danger walking on the water Climbing up from zero stepping from the shade Sleep falls away I move out into the open When I see my shadow I’ll no longer be afraid Can’t stop the moon can’t stop the sun from rising higher Here comes the spring put the past away There comes a day… Strong enough to see all the beauty with the sadness Long enough to dwell in a thought so far away Can’t feel the sun with the shades down on the window You have to trust that the skies aren’t always grey Underneath my feet earth begins to soften Step off the path you will find your way Take off your hat take off your coat and stay a little Here comes the spring winter’s well away There comes a day… Here it comes.

Memory stalks the hallway Like an unexploded bomb Safe as milk and dull as dust This could go on and on I’ve been here too long Fighting the monster I’ve been cleaning out our closet And I’ve rearranged our shoes Everything in the cookbook’s cooked Still I’ve got the blues It’s the same old news Fighting the monster Hoping for a change in the weather Knowing that this life could be better Torn apart then back together Fighting the monster I planned to say some terrible things But love was in your voice All my tears have turned to rust Leaving me no choice I’ve been here too long Fighting the monster Hoping for a change in the weather Knowing that this life could be better Torn apart then back together Fighting the monster Memory stalks the hallway Like an unexploded bomb Safe as milk and dull as dust This could go on On and on…

Resurrection 03:46
When did your life get boring? How did you lose your way? Everything’s in order You need some disarray! Here we go again Resurrection Back to life again Resurrection You used to talk for hours About anything at all Now you don’t even answer When somebody calls The things you used to live for You left out in the cold Only living stops you From getting old Here we go again Resurrection Come back to life again Resurrection Pull you from the deep ‘Cause you're walking in your sleep Wake up wake up! You used to sit on beaches And watch the sun go down Now the light is shocking As you leave the ground Here we go again Resurrection Back to life again Resurrection

Delicate 03:14
I’m in a mood A wonderful mood I wonder if this mood will stay I’m in a mood A wonderful mood Lining up my thoughts in a wonderful way Don’t you wreck that feeling… I’m not thinking the things I should not I’m not consumed by any one thought Nothing is missing, I feel so complete I could do anything, not miss a beat I’m in a mood A wonderful mood I’m working hard at learning to play I’m in a mood A wonderful mood Looking at the world in a wonderful way Don’t you wreck that feeling… I’m taking time for time to stand still I’ve found a space I don't need to fill I try to hear that voice in my head Please speak to me before I am dead Don’t you wreck that feeling… When all our time is gone I hope some love has shone Down on our lives so very short So delicate

I know it's out of fashion And a trifle uncool But I can't help it I'm a romantic fool It's a habit of mine To watch the sun go down On Echo Beach I watch the sun go down From nine 'til five I have to spend my time at work My job is very boring, I'm an office clerk The only thing that helps me pass the time away Is knowing I'll go back to Echo Beach some day On a silent summer evening The sky's alive with light Building in the distance Surrealistic sight On Echo Beach Waves make the only sound On Echo Beach There's not a soul around From nine 'til five I have to spend my time at work My job is very boring, I'm an office clerk The only thing that helps me pass the time away Is knowing I'll go back to Echo Beach some day Echo Beach Far away in time

Here comes the brand new Here comes the ground again The furniture is too big My feet are far away I think of you with nothing on And everything before me Read the signal in my eyes Swear the devil’s on to me The floor falls up like gravity I want the things I cannot have My thoughts have lost their owners And they’re wandering into walls Like reckless drivers South of the border What goes up must come down South of the border Lost my way to the lost and found Thought’s out of order Put me on that train of events That’s always moving forward Where everything is hope and glory A happy ending to this story I am vertical Are you ready to receive me? Vertical get ready to receive me I am vertical get ready Get ready ‘cause here I come…
